The Adventures of Horatio Mowzl: Volume One: Little Humans

I like the book very much. It’s interesting that it is set in the present tense, I’ve not read many books like that. I feel really sorry for Mowzl because it’s horrid to be homesick, let alone trapped in another world! I love the fact that the main character, who is brave and adventurous, is an animal that many people think of as small and troublesome. I soon settled into the story and enjoyed it immensely, it’s a really good book and I can’t wait to read the rest in the series.

The Adventures of Horatio Mowzl: Volume Two: First Purlings

This book inspired me – and hopefully others too – to do as much as I can to repair the wild web. It’s great that it’s addressing what we’ve done to the Earth, as so many people need to start helping the environment. I think the world would be a much better place if everyone read this book!
I decided to Google Mowzl to see if it was available online and was surprised but pleased to see that it has a Facebook and Twitter page! I think this will spread the word to help our planet and help book sales.
Overall, ‘First Purlings’ is a really touching story with a very important message. It’s realistic but still full of fantasy and has opened my eyes to the beauty of nature and life’s delicate balance. I really wish I knew Emmy. He sounds like a very thoughtful but fun person (or mouse!).
Can’t wait for the next book!

The Adventures of Horatio Mowzl: Volume Three: The Great Rising

I’ve really enjoyed reading ‘The Great Rising’. I think it has a really powerful message and the ending is unexpected; it brings the series to a fantastic close. I’ve read it twice now and it’s got me thinking about what I can do to help too. I like how Emmy’s story is gradually revealed, and how everyone comes together to tell the world the right thing to do.
